Our two beautiful architect designed villas .... where modern comfort meets tropical serenity. Wake up to the bliss, peace and tranquility of Gili Air.   • 6-minute walk to Gili Air Beach's - 'Sunrise' and 'Sunset' beaches.

  • Villa Kayu is situated close to restaurants, shops, cafés and the main street of Gili Air

  • 5k (3miles) from Bangsal Harbor - Lombok. Public or Fast Ferry service daily.

  • Daily ferries across to the 'other Gili's' - Gili Trawangan and Gili Meno

  • Lombok Airport transfers available - allow 2-3hrs from Gili Air​

Getting Around Gili Air

To make the most of your stay and explore the island, here are the best transportation options available:

Walking: Gili Air is a small island - (5k or 3miles circumference) and many guests enjoy exploring (approx.1hr) on foot. The beach, cafés, restaurants, and shops are all within short walking distance to Villa Kayu. And there's much to explore.

Bikes are the most popular way to get around the island. We can arrange bicycle rentals for you-just let us know at Reception, and we'll organize everything.

Horse Cart (Cidomo): Since there are no cars or motorbikes on Gili Air, *horse-drawn carts are available to transport luggage or guests from Gili Air harbour on arrival to Villa Kayu, or around the island. Prices vary depending on distance.

Book via WhatsApp to Reception - OR just 'hail a Cidomo like a taxi ! It's easy, and everyone knows Villa Kayu.

Electric Scooters: Some areas of Gili Air now offer electric scooters as an eco-friendly option for getting around. Availability and hire cots may vary.

Private Snorkeling & Island-Hopping Boats: For beach trips, snorkeling spots, or visits to Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan, we can arrange private boats, and all snorkle gear. See Reception

Speedboat Transfers: If you're traveling to Lombok or other islands, private speedboats can be booked upon request. See Reception or checkout availability down at Gili Air Harbour

ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS

Once you arrive at the harbor, you have two ways to reach Villa Kayu:

 

Walking: What a better way to kick off your island adventure than a walk to Villa Kayu ?
Plus, it's the best excuse to enjoy that pizza tonight totally guilt-free!

Horse Cart (Cidomo): If you prefer not to walk - or have luggage, horse-drawn carts are available to bring you directly to Villa Kayu. Prices vary depending on distance. Ferry Harbour to Villa Kayu = Rp200,000 (US$ 12.00)

We are available to assist you before and during your stay. If you have any questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact the Management at Villa Kayu. Reception is 24hrs.
